- Plaster and lath removed for proper insulating end electrical work, while each piece of lath was saved and nailed back onto walls to maintain authenticity of the century-old home.
- Existing yellow-brick walls throughout house uncovered, repaired and left to be exposed as rough finish.
- Large salvaged barn timbers incorporated into door headers and openings.
- Beautiful stained-glass terrace door, salvaged from garbage.
- Post and beam workshop built in backyard with use of sixteen foot long maple 4x4's salvaged from shipping skids.
- Many plumbing and lighting fixtures, as well as tile, engineered laminate flooring and other misc. accessories bought through the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
